San Francisco's Extra Classic -- the all analog, dub-inspired project of Adrianne Verhoeven and Alex deLanda) -- has been busy readying their debut LP for Manimal Vinyl, Your Light Like White Lightning, Your Light Like A Laser Beam, out September 27th on cd, digital, and gatefold vinyl. The band is currently being featured by Rolling Stone, with one of the album stand-outs "You Can't Bring Me Down." That track is the latest single from the forthcoming record, literally, with the band releasing the "You Can't Bring Me Down" vinyl 7" on their own Nopal Records imprint. It contains the original album cut as well as the exclusive B-side "Orbit," which is a dubbed out version of the A-side. Additionally, Extra Classic will be doing a brief run of West Coast tour dates with Moonface (featuring Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade/Sunset Rubdown) this October, with the dates listed below. All songs on the album are recorded on 8-track tape along with vintage recording equipment from the 60’s and 70’s.
