Hemlock resident Randomer remixes the title track off Aquarian's debut EP coming up on UNO NYC
“Elegant savagery… balances Drexciyan squelch and surgically syncopated
drum programming with tumbling Amen breaks” - Philip Sherburne, SPIN
Aquarian, a.k.a Chris Leung is ingrained in both London and New York's underground electronic scenes. His formidable debut on imprint UNO NYC shows Aquarian simultaneously steeped in the futurism of Detroit techno and the psychology of classic UK dubstep. The Brooklyn-via-Toronto producer's influences are underscored by an unabashed loved for experimental punk and IDM.
In a few short months his music has already garnered support and spins from acts like Dark Sky, Distal, XI, and South London Ordnance. With three tectonic dancefloor burners and an equally bombastic remix from UK off-techno savant Randomer, the EP is just a taste of what's to come from this rising producer.
