WILD INTERNATIONAL PREMIERE POLYRHYTHMIC, ANTHEMIC "YOUNG WAYFARER" VIA SPIN MAGAZINE
Wild International was formed in May 2009 on Long Island, New York by high school friends Ryan Camenzuli, Greg Coffey, Bryan Daly, who had something in common: the love of the sonics and sounds coming from the records of Akron/Family, The Acorn and Animal Collective. The band recently announced the arrival of Lake Tones, their new 6-song, self-released EP slated for an updated release date of December 18th. Ultimately relying on a foundation of bass, drums and guitar, Wild International layers polyrhythmic beats, vocal harmonies and experimental noises to create their full and textured sound. This is on full display on the rollicking track "Young Wayfarer," which premiered today with Spin Magazine. "Creeks," the first single from the EP, and can still be streamed or downloaded for free here. Additionally, Wild International has announced the details for their album release show as well, taking place on December 8th at Shea Stadium in Brooklyn.

More info on Wild International:
The three friends started playing music together in their practice space, experimenting and tinkering with guitars, bass and various percussion instruments. In their first year as a band, Wild International played shows around Long Island and released their first self-titled EP. 2010 marked the time where the band decided to leave Long Island and move to New York City to submerge themselves in the diversity of the music scene there. Flash forward to 2011, the band started writing and recording the music that would ultimately become Lake Tones. With the new batch of songs, the band incorporated the natural elements that worked from the first EP, but built upon that foundation by using sampling and effects processing to evolve their sound into something that straddles the line between the electronic and the organic, with parts of the EP rippling melody while other parts tapping their more primordial side. The result is a ride that is free-flowing, yet somehow structured within the constraints of an EP.
In their time as a band, Wild International has shared the stage with bands such as Dana Buoy (of Akron/Family), The Death Set, Aficionado, Controlled Bleeding, The Elwins, Grand Rapids, and also played the 2010 Bamboozle festival. Having just played the CMJ Festival, the band is planning additional shows supporting the release in early 2013.
