Friends Live is a collaborative series from JMC Aggregate featuring musicians, artists and poets. Vol. 1 features real life best friends, Brooklyn comedian and artist Catherine Cohen and NYC musician/songwriter Jeanette Wall's Band Practice. The album was recorded live at Silent Barn in NYC in early 2016.


About Jeanette Wall/Catherine Cohen:

Catherine Cohen is a comedian, voiceover artist, and poet living in Brooklyn. She performs on a house sketch team at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and hosts the monthly variety show It's A Guy Thing at Union Hall, which was recently featured in Paste Magazine’s “10 Best Alt Comedy Shows in New York City”. She is part of the New American Comedy collective, which has performed to sold-out crowds at The Strand Bookstore, Elvis Guesthouse, and more. Her work has been featured in The Huffington Post, New York Magazine’s The Cut, Funny or Die, and her short film “SLURP” was just shown at Nighthawk Cinema as part of the Brooklyn Comedy Festival. Jeanette Wall is a founding member of Band Practice, which started as a solo project in 2012. In 2013, Wall collaborated with Ben Bondy to record Band Practice's first album Make Nice, which received acclaim from Stereogum, NME, Impose, Portals and many more notable outlets. Band Practice is Wall's creative outlet and she regularly plays NYC shows; in her day to day, she works with bands via her A&R job at ATO Records, management position at Salty Artist Management and her record label/zine Miscreant Records.
