It’s been a couple of years since Turnover released their last album ‘Peripheral Vision’ back in 2015, but now the Virginians are back with news of a brand new LP!
Their third album ‘Good Nature’ will be released on 25th August via Run For Cover (who also home Pinegrove and Basement, natch). Having spent longer working in the studio than on any other Turnover record alongside long-time producer William Yip, it promises to keep Turnover’s core sound but also expand it with different textures, tempos and dynamics.
Alongside the album announcement, the band have shared ‘Super Natural’, the opening track and a good indication of how the group have broadened their horizons. Breezy and airy with lilting, jangly guitars and laid-back vocals, it’s an ideal soundtrack for long, hazy summer nights.
Speaking of the track, the band’s Austin Getz said: “That song is specifically about just one type of love, romantic love, and how it became almost meditative for me. It made me feel so relaxed, but at the same time I could feel it was something so big … it’s ‘super natural’ and it’s ‘supernatural’”.
