The Hotel Congress is proud to announce the return of the annual music festival, HOCO Fest, set to take place September 1st through September 4th, Labor Day weekend in Downtown Tucson, AZ. This year’s programming will feature international musical acts such as Warpaint, Mdou Moctar, Armand Hammer, Fucked Up, Huerco S, MICHELLE, Helado Negro, Kid Congo Powers, La Goony Chonga, and grammy-award winning songwriter, Arooj Aftab, among many others. HOCO Fest 2022 will also feature a Sonoran Desert Sustainability Summit, daytime pool parties, art installations, demonstrations, and food and drink offerings celebrating the UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
For over 15 years, HOCO Fest has led the charge in reframing what the modern music festival can achieve — from becoming the first completely solar-powered festival on the West Coast in 2007, to blossoming into “one of the US’s most forward-facing festivals” by setting the standard for diverse musical programming, “nurturing a cultural oasis”. Located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, 60 miles from the Mexican border, HOCO Fest is a product of the artistic, geographical, and socio-political reality in which it resides. The 2022 edition of HOCO Fest is positioned to represent this heritage while inspiring the festival goer with an authentic experience.
