After opening their very first boutique in NYC on the grounds of the NoMad Hotel exactly one year ago, Kitsuné is taking another bizarre trip through these great United States and releasing their second edition of the newly minted American compilation to report their findings on April 30. This their taking Toro Y Moi, Chrome Sparks, Theophilus London, Gigamesh, Jim-E Stack and more out on the road with them.
For their second outing with the America series, Kitsuné pushes, yet again, their musical boundaries by gathering a diverse and quirky selection of artists that stick to no set of rules -- borrowing here, digging deep there, and generally cranking the amps to 11. From bedrooms to the most sophisticated studios, imagination and sensibility have no limits in 2013. Always curious and hungry for new sonic hybrids Kitsuné takes different turns and dares unexpected alternative routes -- with America 2 the pace is getting slower and groovier with some urban vibes sinking in.
Kitsuné's America 2 has got a big smile on its face. With a lot of character to boot and even a bit of a lustful feel -- hence the mischievous album cover glorifying sensual hedonism.
