Release Date 04/20/2019
Birthed from the intensely creative and genre-bending underground DIY scene of NYC, L.O.T.I.O.N. has quickly become one of the most exciting bands of this network - gaining notoriety for their unique style of industrial cyberpunk and intense live shows. Masterminded by visual artist Alexander Heir, the group has gained recognition internationally for their fiercely political lyricism and striking aesthetic. Blending noisy electronics with live instrumentation, the band draws inspiration from the harsh minimal electronic music of Detroit, 90s rave culture, and the blazing riffs of 80s UK punk.
Following their 2013 demo tape, L.O.T.I.O.N. released their debut LP, Digital Control And Man’s Obsolescence in 2015 on Toxic State Records. World Wide W.E.B., their new album, further delves into this techno-dystopian world. With the main lineup of Alexander Heir (Vocals) Tye Miller (Guitar) Cory Forrest (Bass) and the brand new addition of drummer Ryan Naideau (of Warthog on Drums and Electronics) World Wide W.E.B.sees the band leaning even harder into their hardcore/dance/punk tendencies to massively catchy, head bopping results.
